Entertaiment Stage Technician / Tunica, MS

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Oversee technical aspects of headliners, small stage entertainment, banquet, group sales, and other events.

Position: Full-Time
Location: Gold Strike Casino – Tunica, MS

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Maintains shop order and cleanliness; cleans shops and stocks area daily.
•   Sets and strikes audio, video, lighting, and internet equipment for clients.
•   Assists clients in the usage of A/V equipment.
•   Operates A/V equipment for client meetings and events.
•   Provides excellent customer service by determining customer needs and offering solutions.
•   Maintains rental equipment and ensures care is taken during transportation, handling, and storage of heavy equipment and tools.
•   Operates scissor lift to transport and set up/strike equipment.
•   Calculates electrical draw for A/V equipment.
•   Works with high amperage/voltage electricity.
•   Assists group sales with A/V requests for general meeting needs (LCD Packages, Microphones, General Lighting).
•   Assists with marketing and promotions (general lighting, sound, music needs).
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•   3 plus years of technical theatre and/or audio video experience
•   Experience mixing shows using large scale sound systems and consoles.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
•   Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
•   Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work may be performed in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office settings and casino floors which includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise. Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed. Work requires lifting objects exceeding 40 lbs.
