Facility Maintenance-PT / AMS Pictures – Dallas

AMS PICTURES

The position offers a flexible schedule with 20-30 hours per week, which can be worked any time between Monday and Friday, from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Job Purpose:

This is a hands-on role that includes performing maintenance and repairs, working on new projects to improve/upgrade the facility, and coordinating with outside vendors.

Repairs / Projects

Perform small projects and repairs as needed:

  • Plumbing: replace broken toilet flushers, unclog drains and toilets, repair leaking pipes (drain and fresh water supply), install faucets.
  • Painting: Basic sheetrock repair and texture, painting touch ups.
  • Carpentry: Use power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders for basic carpentry work.
  • HVAC: Replace broken valves, sensors and thermostats and troubleshoot HVAC problems at a basic level.
  • Cabling: Assist the Video Engineer and IT department with permanent cable runs within the facility. Perform basic termination of CAT6 and BNC connectors.
  • Maintain and repair the outdoor irrigation system. Perform sprinkler repairs, including valves and heads. Adjust timing as needed throughout the seasons.
  • Gardening: Install new plants and seasonal mulch. Keep outdoor areas maintained by watering plants, cleaning up leaves, trimming shrubs, and cleaning the outdoor areas and patio
  • Light electrical work: install light fixtures, replace defective electrical outlets and wall switches, connect appliances

Maintenance

  • Maintain, and organize the supplies and tools within the maintenance office.
  • Ensure the facility looks its best and is fully operational:
    • Ensure that video monitors, signage displays, and speakers around the facility are operating. Perform basic troubleshooting steps and report issues to IT as needed.
    • Replace burned out light bulbs
    • Spray monthly for insects
    • Spray monthly for weeds
  • Assist with minor vehicle repairs and perform simple vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the deep storage, garage and shop areas including cleanliness & inventory of parts.

Daily Operations

  • Responsible for assisting the client service team with their duties – preparing the kitchen area for meals, removing trash, and general cleanup.
  • Assist with production shoots: Move heavy equipment and items, help assemble set pieces.
  • Assist with furniture and office moves: Move desks, chairs, and computer equipment as needed for employees.
  • Assist with decorations: Help put up holiday decorations and seasonal items. Assist with hanging pictures.
  • Assist with the pickup and return of equipment and other general deliveries and errands.

Qualifications:

Should have solid experience in small repair projects (electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC, etc.) Required to be familiar with techniques and tools common to the skills listed above.

Must be able to independently research repair techniques for new problems.

Requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
