As a Documentary Filmmaker, you will be responsible for creating compelling documentary-style films that highlight our clients’ stories and showcase the impact of our products and services. You will work closely with our creative team to produce high-quality video content that aligns with our brand’s vision and goals, with a strong focus on post-production. Additionally, you will create content that is not as polished as a documentary, ensuring versatility in production quality.
The Main Responsibilities
- Develop and produce documentary-style films focusing on client stories and product impact.
- Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and implement new ideas for storytelling.
- Conduct interviews and gather footage on location to capture authentic and engaging content.
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, final films that meet our quality standards.
- Create content that is less polished, suitable for various formats and platforms.
- Ensure all video content aligns with our brand guidelines and messaging.
- Manage the entire production process, from pre-production planning to post-production editing.
- Plan and storyboard video projects to ensure clear messaging and effective framing.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into your work.
What We Look For In a Candidate
- Proven experience as a documentary filmmaker or similar role.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to create engaging narratives.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Experience with on-location filming, including lighting, sound, and camera operation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio showcasing your documentary filmmaking work.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with motion graphics and animation.
- Knowledge of color grading and sound design.
- Familiarity with drone filming and aerial footage.
- Running sound on set.
- Strong post-production skills with a focus on editing and finishing.
- Ability to operate a camera, set up lighting, and manage on-set production tasks.
- Experience in storyboarding and planning video projects.

Compensation
