DMP Artist (Junior and Mid) – Paw Patrol 3

Reporting to the DMP Supervisor, you will work on extensions to the film’s 3D environments.

In collaboration with the DMP supervisor, you will be required to:

• Transpose the film’s sets in a stylized and digital way, in accordance with the vision of the director and the artistic director
• Create complex backgrounds, landscapes and environments in 3D space using a wide range of digital tools (digital painting, rendering and compositing software)
• Work closely with the DMP supervisor on aspects of design, style, lighting and graphic transposition
• Configure and execute 3D paintings while respecting the technical constraints of the project
• Develop the atmosphere and mood of different settings
• Correct textures: define them and adjust stretching if necessary
• Collaborate with the Art, Layout, Modeling, Look Development, Final Set Dressing, Lighting, Compositing and Stereo departments

• Strong skills in painting, traditional and digital illustration
• Experience in 2.5D / 3D projection is an asset
• Photoshop proficiency required
• Knowledge of Nuke and Maya; knowledge of Blender is an asset
• Ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment
• Good communication skills and team spirit
• Excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of the different stages of producing an animated film
• Experience on an animated feature film recommended but not required
• Strong technical and artistic skills
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
