Duties and Responsibilities
You will learn how to effectively manage all GPC administrative processes and creative projects to achieve deadlines on the department.
You will:
- Act on the online product approval in a timely manner and always provide appropriate solutions for licensees as required
- Liaise with other relevant teams and lines of business, which includes, but is not limited to commercial, franchise, and reviewers to exchange and obtain key information for product development
- Maintain good knowledge of Disney/Marvel/Lucas storytelling and apply to product design where applicable
- Be responsible for product approvals and sample management from concept through to production across various hardlines categories as required supported by line manager
- Support relevant GPC teams daily by communicating and sharing relevant information, anticipating wider team needs and taking action where necessary
- Compile product catalogues by franchise and category
- Prepare presentations in accordance with brand guidelines, ensuring the information is up-to-date and presented in a compelling way for both internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with the appropriate licensees to get forms filled as and when necessary
- Effectively explain the approval process to new accounts
- Ad-hoc analysis of monthly visual reports
- Gain an understanding of licensees’ management
- Shadow GPC Managers in licensee meetings
- Support on creative projects including brainstorms, developing trend boards and researching consumer insights
- Support the GPC team with setting up and coordinating events to showcase our product development with key accounts

- Operate with integrity, champion change and be a good ambassador for CPGP and the wider Walt Disney Company
- Operate as part of an effective team, demonstrating an awareness of others, offering support, sharing knowledge and best practices and contributing to the overall achievement of departmental commitments
- Take ownership of your professional development through regular career conversations with your line manager and utilizing available resources such as D Learn, instructor led courses and on the job learning
- Proactively suggest ways to improve departmental performance and processes
- Build links with other TWDC functions to develop broader knowledge of the business
Areas of Accountability
• Accountable to the relevant Product Development Manager
• Accountable for ensuring a smooth and efficient execution of the product approval process
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
You must be proactive in embracing this learning opportunity. You will be expected to take on a great deal of responsibility and will need to demonstrate a flexible and dedicated approach to work. The skills you possess will include accuracy, attention to detail, effective communication and excellent presentation skills alongside an enthusiasm for product creation and development, and a passion for the Disney brand.
Skills Required
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent command of the English language with high standards of verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive and positive approach to tasks
• Ability to effectively explain the approval process to new accounts
• Some working knowledge of Keynote and Excel, beneficial
Education
- 2nd or 3th year Fine Art University students
- Good command of English in both speaking and writing
- Proficiency in Adobe programmes such as, Photoshop, illustrator. Indesign is a plus
- Able to work full time in week in school period
