SYNOPSIS
Based on real life events during World War II, an Australian soldier, Private Donald Watt is captured by the enemy and became a Prisoner of War who was destined to serve out the War behind barbed wire. Not for long. As Don becomes the ultimate escape artist he breaks free from many a German prison camp only to be captured on his final run to freedom at the Swiss border. Under heavy security by the Gestapo he is handed to the dreaded SS for interrogation and torture. Nothing was to prepare him for the horror that
he was to witness and endure as he was forced to work stoking the ovens of hell itself.

Don survived and was released from his nightmare with the oncoming Russian advance and once in Allied territory made his way to Britain where he blocked all memory of what he had experienced inside the death camp. He was soon home in Australia to his sweetheart to commence a new life and start over, however the dark dreams of unbearable human suffering haunt him no end. Suppressed in his mind locked away, decades pass until the day Don writes the truth of how his story began………..
