Summary of Position
The Publicity Visual Communications Coordinator supports the VisComm group of the Worldwide Publicity team in the development, organization, and distribution of visual (AV and photo) assets across film campaigns. This role bridges creative execution and operational logistics – ensuring assets are efficiently managed, approved, and delivered for press, talent, and filmmaker use.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure the Publicity Slate document reflects the most current film and campaign information.
Assist in drafting and editing written communications, including captions, photo credits, and media notes. - Traffic image and clip requests from internal teams and external partners; assemble select photo sets for social media use.
- Help to maintain internal publicity asset rollout documents keeping key information up to date.
- Participate in clip creation process, working with internal and external editors to make changes, and work with internal Lionsgate stakeholders on the review process.
- Archive finalized PR materials to Orange Logic (or relevant internal DAM) and deliver released assets to internal and international partners.
- Track production information for current Lionsgate titles, including script summaries, production documents, and on-set PR schedules.
- Maintain visibility of production timelines (start/end dates, EPK shoot windows) on team calendars.
- Support talent approvals for stills, soundbites, B-roll, and production notes.
- Manage watermarking and link creation for photo and video assets; oversee distribution to press, talent, and filmmakers.
- Facilitate final delivery of assets to PR teams via WireDrive and maintain organized records for campaign tracking.
- Maintain and update EPK.tv content and assist with the Lionsgate publicity site’s asset library.
- Draft and distribute press and EPK.tv blasts in coordination with national PR teams.
- Serve as primary liaison for processing and tracking invoices, ensuring timely submission and follow-up with Accounts Payable.
- Coordinate team meetings and cross-department communications with other PR and marketing assistants and managers.
- Provide on-site support for junkets, creative content days, and premieres as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Genuine enthusiasm for publicity and all its related functions including photography, video production, and entertainment marketing
- 2+ years of experience supporting a PR, marketing, or creative communications team — preferably in entertainment or media
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with asset management systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident working with cross-functional partners and talent reps
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite preferred; experience with WireDrive and/or Orange Logic a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film, or a related field preferred
- Flexibility for occasional overtime and off-site event staffing
