NETFLIX
At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode – pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
As a Game Producer (Mid-Level), Early Stage Production at Netflix Games, you will play a critical supporting role in the intake and assessment of new game projects. You bring hands-on production experience from shipped games, owning or driving significant features, pipelines, or content areas (such as character pipelines, cinematics, progression features, etc.) on shipped games. You’ll help operationalize early stage processes, support due diligence, and ensure project information is organized and actionable for senior producers and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Process Support
- Coordinate intake and tracking of new game concepts, ensuring all required materials and documentation are collected and maintained.
- Support the preparation, assembly, and review of due diligence materials, risk assessments, and Greenlight documents.
- Help templatize and refine operational workflows to streamline early stage production activities.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and documentation standards across the Early Stage Production team.
Feature & Pipeline Expertise
- Leverage your experience owning or managing key development areas (e.g., character pipelines, cinematics, progression features, art asset delivery, etc.) to assess feasibility and production planning for new projects.
- Collaborate with development teams to clarify technical and production dependencies within your areas of expertise.
- Provide insights into best practices and risk factors for specific pipelines or features, supporting more accurate early stage evaluations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with senior producers, creative, technical, and external partners to ensure smooth communication and alignment during early project phases.
- Assist in gathering and synthesizing feedback from stakeholders to inform project assessments and next steps.
- Support the coordination of meetings, reviews, and documentation for cross-functional teams.
Innovation & Special Projects
- Contribute to the evaluation of non-traditional, innovative, or experimental game concepts, applying your experience with new play styles or unique development challenges.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging tools, bringing fresh ideas to the Early Stage Production team.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in video game production or development, with at least one shipped title as a key contributor or feature owner (e.g., responsible for a major system, pipeline, or content area).
- Demonstrated ownership of significant development pipelines or features (such as character pipelines, cinematics, progression systems, etc.).
- Solid understanding of the full game production lifecycle from concept through launch.
- Interest in expanding skills in project management, including time, resource, and budget planning for full game production.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage documentation and multiple workstreams efficiently.
- Familiarity with production, technical, or design documentation and the ability to evaluate feasibility in your areas of expertise.
- Effective communicator, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and synthesizing information for others.
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to take on greater responsibility in production operations.
- Passion for gaming and interest in innovative or non-traditional game experiences.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Los Angeles preferred; remote OK.
