Oversee all virtual production projects, both internal and external, using Cherokee Film Studios’ (CFS) Studio A. Oversee operation and maintenance of CFS LED volume including motion capture, camera tracking, and more. Work with clients to fulfill requests for script breakdowns, previsualization and environment creation. Responsible for ensuring clients have a positive experience and a successful production.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for successful operation of CFS’ Virtual Production studio.
- Operates as lead when fulfilling both internal and external virtual production requests.
- Work with leadership to spec, previsualize and quote projects.
- Develops and manages internal virtual production strategy and plans.
- Responsible for regular maintenance and update of VP hardware and software.
- Researches, develops and implements the latest virtual production technologies and trends.
- Promotes development and training of virtual production technologies within local communities.
- Supervise/manage a department and have authority over hiring/termination/performance decisions.
- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in game design, film, multimedia, or other related field, and five (5) to seven (7) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience with cinema or commercial virtual production.
- Advanced knowledge of the latest virtual production and XR technologies, trends and workflows for film and interactive entertainment.
- Working knowledge of Unreal engine, 3D modeling software, camera familiarity, LED panel operation and computer component integration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Macintosh products.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
- Excellent written, communication, presentation and computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, review information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to prioritize work and successfully meet deadlines.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
